HCU-158AF is an ultra compact 15 × 15mm USB camera module that combines 8MP high-resolution imaging with intelligent autofocus (AF) and built-in noise cancelling microphone. It is designed specifically for embedded integration of document scanners, facial recognition terminals, medical observation equipment, industrial inspection equipment, and video conferencing systems, addressing three persistent OEM integration pain points:
1. When the object distance changes, the image becomes blurry – the high-speed autofocus lens tracks moving objects and changing working distances in real time, keeping text, barcodes, faces, and small parts clear without the need for manual refocusing.
2. Insufficient details in scanning and inspection – The 8MP (3264 × 2488) resolution captures fine text, dense two-dimensional barcodes, micro components, and facial features that cannot be resolved by 1080P cameras, thereby reducing misreading and false alarms.
3. The bulky camera module damages the aesthetics of the device – the 15 × 15mm cube shape is invisibly integrated into the display frame, information kiosk housing, medical handheld devices, and access control panels, maintaining the integrity of the product design.
Instructions for use: The UVC driver achieves plug and play integration with free compatibility with Windows, Linux, and Android, without the need for proprietary SDKs. The built-in microphone has noise reduction function, which provides clear audio for video calls, recording, and interactive information kiosks without the need for external audio hardware.
